Kanagawa Elves Anime to Premiere December 4
The official website for the upcoming adaptation of Yoroida's Kanagawa ni Sunderu Elf (Kanagawa Elves) has unveiled exciting updates. The anime will make its debut on December 4, airing within TV Kanagawa's midday news and variety program, Neko no Hitai Hodo Wide, at 12 noon JST.
New Cast Announcement
Four new cast members have been announced, all hailing from Kanagawa Prefecture:
- Kōtarō Nishiyama as Yōsei-san (Fairy) and narrator.
- Yūsuke Nagano as Elf from Yokosuka.
- Yūki Inoue as Elf from Sagamihara.
- Gō Fujii as Orc from Machida.
Additionally, Chiaki Kobayashi will voice the protagonist Elf from Yokohama, while Yuu Hayashi will voice a Human from Kawasaki, both also from Kanagawa.
Production Team
The anime is directed by Yūji Umoto, known for his work on SHIBUYA♡HACHI and the Karl to Fushigi na Tō film. The sound direction is managed by Taeko Miura, and Shin Kawamoto is responsible for the music composition. Kazuya Takahashi, known for his contributions to Sword Art Online II, serves as the production supervisor.
Manga Background
The story revolves around elves who have faced challenges after their forest home was destroyed and now try to adapt to ordinary life in Kanagawa. Yoroida launched the manga on Comic Elmo in August 2020, with the first compiled volume published in 2021. A live-action adaptation also premiered on September 30, airing on the same program.
