In a recent update, Bandai Namco Entertainment has added Kakuzu as the latest downloadable content (DLC) character to the popular game Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker. This marks the game's 45th DLC addition and celebrates its seventh anniversary. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer showcasing Kakuzu's capabilities and combat style.

Kakuzu follows Hidan, released as the 44th DLC character a few months earlier on May 30, kicking off the ninth season pass, which will feature a total of four new characters. The next character set to join the roster is Momoshiki Otsutsuki, expected to launch this fall.

The game's eighth season began in May 2024 but did not include a season pass. Previous characters introduced this season include prominent figures such as Kawaki (Karma Progression), Shisui Uchiha (Perfect Susano'o), and the Young Version of Naruto Uzumaki. Additionally, fans enjoyed the free update that introduced Young Version Sasuke Uchiha as the 43rd DLC character in February.

Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker allows players to engage in dynamic four vs. four multiplayer battles, emphasizing teamwork by dividing characters into four specialized roles: Attack, Ranged, Defense, and Heal. This cooperative gameplay style fosters competitive interactions, making each match an exhilarating experience.

Since its release in August 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, the game has continued to evolve and expand its character roster, delighting fans of the franchise both in Japan and globally.
