Exciting New Jujutsu Kaisen Spin-Off Manga Launches!

The new manga titled Mojuro, written by series creator Gege Akutami, has been confirmed as a direct sequel spin-off to the hit franchise. Rather than revisiting Yuji Itadori and his generation, the story will leap forward to follow the grandchildren of Yuta Okkotsu and Maki Zenin, offering fans a fresh perspective on the cursed world Akutami built.

Illustrated by artist Yuji Iwasaki, Mojuro is set to launch in Weekly Shonen Jump on September 8, 2025 (issue #41). The run will be relatively short — around six months — and collected into three volumes once complete.

Akutami admitted he had long resisted requests for spin-offs, wary of losing control over his story. But this time, he saw the opportunity to dig deeper into the lore and open the door to “new eras” within the same universe. What began as a simple spark of inspiration eventually evolved into Mojuro after months of creative discussions.
