Exciting New Anime: "Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans" Premieres 2026

Production company Kadokawa has announced an exciting TV anime adaptation of the light novel series Jingai Kyoushitsu no Ningengirai Kyoushi by Natsume Kurusu and Sai Izumi, set to debut in January 2026. The official website has launched, unveiling key details including the main cast, staff, an ending theme, and promotional visuals.

The light novel series began in February 2022 under Kadokawa's MF Bunko J imprint, with the fourth volume released on February 25. A manga adaptation by Atsu Benino ran from August 2022 to July 2023, with the fourth volume expected in September 2024.

Yen Press secured the English licenses for both the light novel and manga in 2023, with subsequent volumes scheduled for release in 2024 and 2025.

Synopsis:
Rei Hitoma, a self-declared misanthrope, finds himself teaching at a school for demi-humans − a mermaid, a werewolf, and others wishing to become fully human. This unexpected journey might change his perspective on humanity as he teaches these unique students.
