The series is directed by Azuma Tani, known for works such as Thermae Romae and Waka Okami wa Shōgakusei!. Keiichirō Ōchi, who has worked on Girlfriend, Girlfriend, will handle the series scripts, while Yūki Fukuchi is responsible for character design. According to Viz Media's English release, the story revolves around Yukiya, who transforms from a shy nerd into a confident young man ready to charm his best friend, Miku. Yūki Dōmoto's manga made its debut on the Sunday Webry website in 2021, and the seventh volume was published by Shogakukan on June 18. Viz Media has released up to the sixth volume in English.
