'I Want to End This Love Game' Anime Announcement
The television adaptation of Yūki Dōmoto's manga I Want to End This Love Game (Aishiteru Game o Owarasetai) has officially announced its main cast, production staff, and a scheduled debut for April 2026. The announcement was made on Saturday, along with a teaser visual that has fans buzzing.

The lead characters will be portrayed by:
- Kaito Ishikawa as Yukiya Asagi
- Miku Itō as Miku Sakura
The series is directed by Azuma Tani, known for works such as Thermae Romae and Waka Okami wa Shōgakusei!. Keiichirō Ōchi, who has worked on Girlfriend, Girlfriend, will handle the series scripts, while Yūki Fukuchi is responsible for character design. The music composition will be managed by Akito Matsuda, recognized for his work on the Sound! Euphonium series.
Plot Overview
According to Viz Media's English release, the story revolves around Yukiya, who transforms from a shy nerd into a confident young man ready to charm his best friend, Miku. He employs tactics inspired by her favorite shojo manga in hopes of capturing her heart, leading to a series of comedic and heartfelt moments.
Manga Background
Yūki Dōmoto's manga made its debut on the Sunday Webry website in 2021, and the seventh volume was published by Shogakukan on June 18. Viz Media has released up to the sixth volume in English.
