Capcom’s Opening Night Live at Gamescom 2025 unveiled a chilling new trailer and demo for Resident Evil Requiem, spotlighting FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft confronting the dark lore of Raccoon City. The gameplay stays true to the franchise’s roots in survival horror—complete with tense puzzles, dim lighting mechanics, and a menacing stalker echoing classic Resident Evil foes. Capcom confirmed a February 27, 2026 launch across PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, powered by the RE Engine and enhanced by DLSS 4 and path-traced lighting for extraordinary visual fidelity.

Konami also made a powerful return to the horror genre with Silent Hill f, debuting a haunting new story trailer set in 1960s rural Japan. The game follows Hinako Shimizu as she navigates her town swallowed by fog, facing grotesque monsters and unspeakable terrors. Notable for its psychological horror focus and atmospheric storytelling—enhanced by Ryukishi07’s writing, Kera’s art, and Akira Yamaoka’s iconic score—Silent Hill f is releasing on September 25, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
