Holmes of Kyoto Manga Concludes with Final Epilogue
The beloved "Holmes of Kyoto" manga, a captivating adaptation of the light novel series, has released its final chapter, bringing a poignant end to the story of antique mysteries in Kyoto.
Futabasha's Web Action manga website has announced the conclusion of Ichiha Akizuki's manga adaptation of Mai Mochizuki and Siz Yamauchi's "Holmes of Kyoto" (Kyōto Teramachi Sanjō no Holmes) with the publication of its final epilogue chapter. This engaging series revolves around the relationship between a charming yet "spiteful" boy from Kyoto, Kiyotaka Yagashira, and high school girl Aoi Mashiro, as they tackle peculiar cases at an antique shop located in Kyoto's Teramachi Sanjō shopping district.
The manga first debuted in Futabasha's Monthly Action magazine in October 2017, transitioning to Web Action in February 2024 after the former ceased publication. The 14th compiled volume was published on January 9. Previously available digitally through Crunchyroll, the manga has garnered a devoted following since its inception.
Mai Mochizuki initiated the novel series in April 2016, which saw the release of its 22nd volume on May 14. "Holmes of Kyoto" also inspired a television anime that premiered in July 2018, further expanding its audience with Crunchyroll streaming the episodes as they aired in Japan.
