New Bad Boys Manga Announced

Hiroshi Tanaka is set to launch a new Bad Boys manga series in 2026, as announced in the 24th issue of Shonengahosha's Young King magazine on November 21. This latest installment will revolve around Tsukasa Kiriki, a 17-year-old navigating a tumultuous summer filled with delinquents.

In the same issue, Tanaka concluded his Kippo manga, which first appeared in Young King in 2012. The final volume of Kippo is scheduled for release on December 22.

A Legacy of Bad Boys

The original Bad Boys manga ran from 1988 to 1996. It inspired a five-episode original video anime (OVA) adaptation between 1993 and 1998, along with a live-action film in 2011 and a 12-episode live-action series that aired from April to June 2013. Another live-action film adaptation premiered on May 30, featuring Issei Mamehara from boyband JO1.

The story originally focuses on Tsukasa Kiriki, the sheltered only son of a wealthy family. His journey begins after receiving help from a legendary delinquent, Murakoshi, in his youth, leading him to pursue a life akin to Murakoshi's by running away from home.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new series!
