Cavill greeted fans with enthusiasm, stating, "Happy First Look for Highlander!" He described the journey of taking on the role as significant and memorable, hinting at a leg injury incurred during training that postponed production to early 2026.

In this reboot, Cavill's character is a sword master who has lived for over 500 years and is skilled in various martial arts.
