The official website for the upcoming television anime adaptation of Aki Akimoto's "Mechanical Marie" (Kikaijikake no Marie) has announced the artists behind its theme songs. Harutya will grace the series with the opening theme titled "Honto to Uso" (Truth and Lies), while Nao Tōyama will perform the ending theme, "Cross Heart ~Itsuwari no Nai Kimochi" (Feelings With No Lies) as her character, Marie.

Set to premiere this October, "Mechanical Marie" will air across multiple networks, including Tokyo MX, YTV, and BS Fuji. Crunchyroll will stream the series globally, except in Asia, which notably includes India and its neighboring regions.

The anime features a diverse cast, starring Nao Tōyama as Marie, alongside Haruki Ishiya as Arthur, Ami Koshimizu as Marie-2, Chiaki Kobayashi as Noah, Yūichirō Umehara as Roy, and Daishi Kajita as Maynard. The show's direction is helmed by Junji Nishimura, with Mariko Kunisawa undertaking the series scripts. Character designs are by Yōko Kikuchi, while music composition is handled by Yasuharu Takanashi and Johannes Nilsson.

Pony Canyon describes the intriguing premise of the series:

Marie, once a brilliant martial artist, now lives undercover as a "mechanical maid" in the mansion of Arthur, a misanthropic heir to a powerful conglomerate. As she navigates her dual identity, Marie faces constant threats from assassins targeting Arthur, adding layers of intrigue and unexpected romance to the storyline.

Originally launched as a one-shot in March 2020, "Mechanical Marie" transitioned into regular serialization in June 2020 and concluded in June 2023, culminating in six published volumes. Yen Press has licensed the manga for English release, with the first volume set to debut on August 26. Additionally, Akimoto has initiated a sequel manga titled "Kikaijikake no Marie+" that debuted in LaLa on April 24.
