Gundam: Silver Phantom VR Anime to Premiere on PlayStation VR2

Astrea has announced that the highly anticipated Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom feature-length VR anime will be available on PlayStation VR2 starting November 21. This follows the release of its trailer on November 6.

Plot Overview

Set years after the original Mobile Suit Gundam series, the story centers on an Earth commander who defects to a faction consisting of remnants from Neo Zeon. To track her down, a mercenary group is brought into play.

Production Team

Directed by Kenichi Suzuki, the anime boasts a script by Ryōji Sekinishi. Tsukasa Kotobuki is the character designer, while Mika Akitaka handles mechanical designs. The soundtrack is composed by Yoshiya Ikeda. The project marks the first collaboration between Sunrise and the French company Atlas V.

The film has already been released for the Meta Quest series in October 2024, but the PlayStation VR2 version is set to deliver an even more dynamic experience.
