Kadokawa has confirmed that the television special based on the popular light novel series I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World will air at the end of March 2026. This announcement was made during the "Fantasia Bunko Hōsōkyoku Aki no Dai Kanshasai" livestream event.
Teaser Visuals and Cast
The event showcased teaser visuals and character designs, including:
- Yuty (uniform version)
- Ken Sei (Fist Saint)
The original cast is returning, featuring:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Yūya Tenjō
- Akari Kitō as Kaori Hōjō
- Kaori Maeda as Lexia von Arcelia
Production Team
The special will be directed by Shin Itagaki, who helmed the first anime series at Millepensee. Character designs will again be handled by Hiromi Kimura, with planning and production by UNLIMITED PRODUCE by TMS.
Series Background
The first season of I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World aired in April 2023, running for 13 episodes, and was available for streaming on Crunchyroll. The story follows a bullied boy who gains access to cheat skills in an alternate universe. With 4 million copies of the light novel in circulation, the franchise continues to grow in popularity, with multiple spin-offs and a browser game already in development.
