An exciting new anime movie adaptation of the highly popular "Gintama" series, titled "Yoshiwara Daienjou," has been announced for a theatrical release in Japan in 2026.

This announcement came during the Gintama Maruchibasu Festival, where a teaser visual and trailer were unveiled, promising fresh animations of the beloved characters. The film will adapt the Yoshiwara Enjou-hen (Yoshiwara In Flames arc) from Hideaki Sorachi's action comedy manga, which has captivated audiences since its debut.

Directed by Naoya Andou, with supervision from the original Gintama director, Youichi Fujita, and a screenplay by Taku Kishimoto—known for his work on "Ousama Ranking"—the film aims to deliver both nostalgia and excitement for fans.
