Exciting New Co-op DLC for Ghost of Yotei Announced: Ghost of Yotei Legends Set to Launch in 2026
Sucker Punch has officially confirmed that Ghost of Yotei will feature a Legends co-op multiplayer expansion, set to be released as free content in 2026. This announcement comes amidst much anticipation following the success of Ghost of Tsushima's original Legends mode.
In a thrilling revelation at Gamescom Opening Night Live 2025, Sucker Punch announced that Ghost of Yotei will receive its own iteration of the beloved Legends co-op multiplayer expansion. Building on the success of the surprise drop of the Legends expansion for Ghost of Tsushima in 2020, the upcoming "Ghost of Yotei Legends" promises to deliver an engaging multiplayer experience, launching as free post-release content in 2026.
Andrew Goldfarb, senior communications manager at Sucker Punch, elaborated on the features of the new mode via a post on the PlayStation blog. "Ghost of Yotei Legends will offer two-player story missions and four-player survival matches," he noted, maintaining the essence of the original mode while hinting at new opportunities for players. Three of the four character classes were showcased in the blog, including Yuki Onna, a spectral swordswoman inspired by the Yokai, along with two Oni classes: Oni Lord, resembling a traditional samurai, and Oni Grenadier, catering to fans of more explosive gameplay.
The storyline will feature players attempting to defeat "demonic, giant versions" of the Yotei Six, the primary antagonists from the game, complemented by a diverse array of adversaries. As anticipation builds for Ghost of Yotei and other upcoming titles, enthusiasts can look forward to a rich expansion of content that enhances the gaming experience.
