The beloved Game of Thrones franchise is set to remain on screens through 2028, as HBO announces the renewal of two key spin-offs: House of the Dragon and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
During a press presentation in New York City, Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO and HBO Max Content, confirmed the renewals. Both series are guaranteed to entertain fans for the next few years, with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms expected to air its second season in 2027. The first season premieres on January 18, 2026.
Upcoming Seasons
House of the Dragon is set to return for its third season in the summer of 2026. HBO has also announced that the series will receive a fourth season, slated for a 2028 debut. Francesca Orsi, EVP of HBO Programming, expressed excitement about delivering fresh content for these treasured series, highlighting the enduring creativity of George R. R. Martin's universe.
