Galileo Galilei Band to Open Blue Orchestra Season 2

The popular anime Blue Orchestra is set to return for its second season, and fans have something special to look forward to. The band Galileo Galilei will be performing the season's opening theme song, titled Amadeus. This new season is scheduled to premiere on October 5 on NHK Educational and will consist of 21 episodes.

The first season was well-received, premiering in April 2023 with a total of 24 episodes. Jun Sakata, known for his work on To Your Eternity, served as the production supervisor and chief producer. The anime was directed by Seiji Kishi, who has a history with popular titles like Assassination Classroom and Classroom of the Elite.

The series follows Hajime Aono, a violin prodigy who, after a personal crisis, stops playing. However, his life takes a turn when he learns about a prestigious high school upon meeting a girl who inspires him to pursue music again. The manga, created by Makoto Akui, has been recognized for its emotional depth, winning the Best Shōnen Manga award at the 68th Shogakukan Manga Awards.

Indonesian publisher Elex Media is bringing the manga to local fans.
