Discover more about the vibrant characters in Gachiakuta's new trailer.
The ongoing TV anime adaptation of Gachiakuta — the dark fantasy and action-packed series based on Kei Urana’s manga — has just released a brand-new character trailer that turns the volume (and the chaos) up to eleven.
The latest video, titled the “Noisy Edition”, spotlights August (voiced by Mamoru Miyano), Delmon (Masami Iwasaki), and Alice (Ryusei Nakao), each delivering passionate performances that capture the raw energy and emotion of the series. The anime is currently airing in Japan.
A Dark Fantasy Story That Keeps Gaining Momentum
Originally serialized by Kodansha since February 2022 in Weekly Shonen Magazine, Gachiakuta quickly became one of the standout titles in recent years. To date, the manga has released 16 collected volumes in Japan, with an English edition available from Kodansha USA.
The anime adaptation is helmed by Fumihiko Suganuma (Oda Cinnamon Nobunaga) at Studio Bones Film, a branch of the acclaimed animation studio Bones — known for hits like My Hero Academia and Mob Psycho 100.
The series composition is written by Hiroshi Seko (Chainsaw Man, Attack on Titan: Final Season), with Satoshi Ishino handling character design and chief animation direction. The soundtrack is composed by Taku Iwasaki (Gurren Lagann, Noragami), ensuring the dark world of Gachiakuta sounds as intense as it looks.
Story: From Trash to Redemption
Crunchyroll, which streams the series, describes Gachiakuta as follows:
In a floating city where the rich discard their waste—and people—Rudo is framed for murder and thrown into the Pit, a hellscape filled with mutated trash beasts.
To survive, he must wield a mysterious new power and join the Cleaners — a group that fights not only monsters but also the corruption that cast him into Hell.
With its gritty themes, bold visuals, and moral undertones about social inequality and survival, Gachiakuta continues to stand out among 2025’s most anticipated dark fantasy anime.
