Korea-based Pixelity Inc. unveiled its first extended reality (XR) game titled Evangelion: Δ Cross Reflections, slated for a demo release in the first half of 2026. This title marks the beginning of a planned trilogy that will retell the story of the first 11 episodes of the original Neon Genesis Evangelion anime.

The game will utilize VR and mixed reality technology, allowing players to experience the Evangelion universe as an original character aspiring to be a pilot. Players can engage in quests and battles within the established timeline of the anime, alongside familiar characters and other original figures, such as NERV trainees.

Netflix began streaming the original anime series in June 2019, depicting a future where Tokyo 3 faces threats from powerful beings known as Angels. The protagonist, Shinji Ikari, becomes humanity’s hope as he pilots an Evangelion.

The Evangelion franchise has expanded over the years, resulting in numerous adaptations and remakes. The latest tetralogy, Rebuild of Evangelion, has reinterpreted the classic tale, culminating with the release of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0: Thrice Upon A Time in March 2021, which ranked #1 in its opening weekend.

With this new game, fans can look forward to an immersive experience that blends beloved elements from the anime with engaging new stories. Learn more about the game and keep an eye out for its demo in 2026!
