The iconic Evangelion anime is set to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a brand new radio program titled FM EVA 30.0, airing from October 4, 2025, to March 2026. This new series will be broadcast across Tokyo FM and 37 other FM stations throughout Japan on Saturday evenings at 10:30 PM local time (9:30 AM EDT). Additionally, a podcast version will be available for streaming exclusively on Amazon Music every Wednesday at noon (Tuesday at 11 PM EDT).

The premiere date marks exactly 30 years since the original anime aired on October 4, 1995. The beloved theme song 'A Cruel Angel's Thesis,' performed by Yoko Takahashi, will feature on the show's first episode. The program is designed to highlight various creators, cast members, singers linked to the Evangelion series, alongside musical artists who are fans of the franchise sharing their unique experiences.

The announcement was accompanied by an original illustration showcasing the Evangelion Unit-01 against the backdrop of Tokyo Tower at night, symbolically linking to Tokyo FM’s main antenna. As the show will also commemorate Tokyo FM’s 55th anniversary, there is significant anticipation among fans for the developments, although a regular host has yet to be announced.
