During an interview with Fangoria, Englund revealed, "Oh, sure. I mean, I'm really busy with voice work anyway... I love that idea." In a separate conversation with Bloody Disgusting, Englund also addressed speculation around Kevin Bacon potentially stepping into the role. He highlighted Bacon’s versatility as an actor and mentioned, “Years ago, I heard they were considering Kevin Bacon for Freddy Krueger.” However, Englund believes the franchise would benefit from casting someone newer and less recognized.
