Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have unveiled a new high-difficulty mode for Elden Ring, titled "Deep of Night," set to launch on September 11 as part of a free update. This mode is designed specifically for seasoned players who are familiar with the game's challenges. In "Deep of Night," players will face tougher enemies, and unlike previous modes, they won’t be able to select a target Nightlord. Terrain changes will not be noted, adding another layer of difficulty.

Players can expect special items, such as exclusive Depths Relics, along with weapons that come with various effects, some of which may be detrimental. As players descend deeper into the mode, the challenges will only intensify. Performance will impact ratings, based on victories and losses, establishing a dynamic that factors into the 'depth' experienced. Elden Ring Nightreign is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
