Nintendo recently showcased a trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero, a new entry in the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi series, highlighting features for both Nintendo Switch and the upcoming Switch 2. The game is set to launch on November 14 and offers various editions including Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate. Players purchasing the Switch version can upgrade to the Switch 2, benefiting from enhanced visuals and data transfers for progression, although custom battle data will not carry over. Players can enjoy offline and online battles, but cross-play between versions is not supported.

The game initially launched in October 2024 for other platforms, featuring multiple editions that enabled early access. The first DLC, Hero of Justice, was released on January 23, adding an array of characters like Gamma 1 and various forms of Piccolo and Gohan. Additionally, subsequent DLC related to the new Dragon Ball Daima anime was introduced, further expanding the roster. The character Shallot, designed by Akira Toriyama for the Dragon Ball Legends game, was also integrated into this title.
