Spoilers

New revelations about Doctor Doom's revenge mission in Avengers: Doomsday have surfaced, offering insights into why Victor Von Doom is targeting an original Avenger.

With the first trailer for Avengers: Doomsday set to drop next month, speculation around Robert Downey Jr.'s portrayal of Doctor Doom is heating up. Recently, insider @MyTimeToShineH disclosed that Downey's version of Doom had a wife and son who tragically passed away. Further, costume leaks by @variablelace suggest that these losses may be the reason why Doom now seeks revenge against Steve Rogers.

The Revenge Plot

If Doom's family perished due to an Incursion involving former Captain America, it sheds light on his motivations for vengeance.

Post-Avengers: Endgame, Steve Rogers returned the Infinity Stones and Mjolnir while using time travel to reconnect with Peggy Carter. Although he enjoyed a satisfying ending, the narrative is set for a twist that may complicate his legacy.

Chris Evans reflected on his MCU co-stars and mentioned, "It's sad to not be back with the band..." While he is not part of the current project, the evolving storyline suggests a deeper exploration of his character.

Star-Studded Cast

The film is packed with talent: Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, and more will grace the screen. Notably, newcomers from The Fantastic Four and X-Men franchises will also make appearances.

Creative Team and Release Date

Directed by the Russo Brothers, the film is scripted by Stephen McFeely and Michael Waldron, who have previous Marvel experience. Avengers: Doomsday is slated for release on December 18, 2026, following it up with Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027.
