Special Details

The storyline of this special takes place prior to the beginning of the main Detective Conan narrative. It follows high schooler Shinichi Kudō and his friend Ran Mōri as they visit an aquarium to devise a plan aimed at reuniting Kogoro Mōri and Eri Kisaki, a couple currently apart. However, their outing takes a twist when a murder occurs, prompting Shinichi to step into action and uncover the perpetrator.

Almost like a prelude to a pivotal moment, this episode also includes another investigation that ties back to "that fateful day".

Celebrating 30 Years of Detective Conan

In a special touch to commemorate the anime's 30th anniversary, prominent figures from the series will appear, including creator Gōshō Aoyama and voice actors such as Minami Takayama (Conan), Kappei Yamaguchi (Shinichi), and Wakana Yamazaki (Ran). They will discuss memorable theme songs from the anime during the special.

The Detective Conan television series originally premiered on January 8, 1996, and has since aired over 1,100 episodes. To celebrate this milestone, TMS Entertainment has been streaming selected episodes from the series, both on Crunchyroll and Netflix.

The Legacy of Detective Conan

The Detective Conan manga began its journey in 1994, published by Shogakukan's Weekly Shounen Sunday. Its success led to the long-running anime series and an extensive film franchise. Viz Media handles the English publication under the name Case Closed, featuring the same character names found in the original Funimation dub.
