Bungie has announced that the Destiny 2: Renegades expansion will officially launch on December 2, 2025. This new installment is inspired by the legendary Star Wars universe, merging Destiny's unique storytelling and gameplay with beloved sci-fi elements.

Guardians will embark on a mission alongside a crew of underdogs battling the formidable Cabal faction, the Barant Imperium, rumored to have ties with the Nine. This chapter allows players to defy the Vanguard, join the Drifter, and interact with both new and returning characters while navigating a shadowy world to build their influence.

In a recent livestream, Bungie showcased a new ViDoc titled Infiltrating the Lawless Frontier, highlighting features coming with Renegades. New content includes a distinctive Lawless Frontier game mode, fresh characters, and the new social hub, Tharsis Outpost. Players will gain access to upgradeable Renegade abilities, earn new weapons and gear, and improve relationships with Syndicate factions through the Notoriety system.

The expansion introduces a new weapon type, the Blaster, designed specifically for Destiny's universe. In the Lawless Frontier, players can take on various high-stakes missions such as smuggling and bounty hunting, either solo or as part of a fireteam, across three planets and six maps inspired by iconic Star Wars locations. The Invasion feature allows other players to invade the battlefield, adding a unique challenge.

In addition to the expansion, the Ash & Iron update is available now. This major update returns players to the Plaguelands for the first time since the original Destiny, focusing on Maya Sundaresh’s experiments. Exciting new rewards await players in a new activity called Reclaim, where they will hunt for Golden Age tech.

The Rewards Pass for The Edge of Fate has been renewed, offering additional 110 ranks of rewards, including a new Strand Exotic Pulse Rifle and special cosmetics. On September 27, a new Epic raid for The Desert Perpetual will be released, alongside an upcoming Exotic mission set for October 7.

The annual Festival of the Lost event will return on October 21, alongside the new Call to Arms event that invites players to participate in various activities from November 11 to December 1.
