Two New Cast Members Join 'The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess'
New anime adaptation reveals exciting cast members for December.
Anime Cast Announcement
The animated adaptation of Akiharu Tōka's The Dark History of the Reincarnated Villainess has recently announced two new cast members. The announcement came from the official X/Twitter account for the series:
- Daiki Kobayashi as Kagura Ivy, a character described as an angelic boy who discovers Shukuna.
- Kentarō Kumagai as Shukuna, an elven youth found injured in the forest.
These characters are set to appear in the anime's 10th episode, airing on December 11.
Anime Overview
The series first premiered in Japan on October 8, streaming on Crunchyroll for international audiences. The cast features several prominent voice actors:
- Yoshino Aoyama as Iana Magnolia
- M.A.O as Konoha Magnolia
- Shōhei Komatsu as Sol Nemophyra
- Makoto Furukawa as Ginoford Dandelion
- Shunichi Toki as Yomi Blacksarana
Hiroaki Sakurai is directing at Studio DEEN, with additional musical contributions from Ryūichi Takada of MONACA. The opening theme, “Black Flame,” will be performed by KID PHENOMENON from EXILE TRIBE, while the ending theme, “Rengene,” is by Zerofrom.
Special Blu-ray Release
A special edition Blu-ray is also on the horizon, including anime episodes based on short stories not part of the main television series. The release is scheduled for April 3, 2026.
Manga Background
The original manga, serialized in Hakusensha's LaLa magazine since August 2018, blends fantasy adventure with romance, focusing on the character Konoha Satou as she navigates her darker past. The series has sold over 1.7 million copies to date.
