Daredevil: Born Again Set for At Least Three Seasons with Production Planned for 2026
Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again is expected to run for at least three seasons, with preparations underway for a 2026 shoot.
Marvel Studios is reportedly planning to expand its Daredevil: Born Again series to at least three seasons, despite earlier comments from star Charlie Cox that led to some confusion among fans. During a recent convention, Cox referenced his character's evolving costume and teased a "final season" but later clarified alongside co-star Vincent D'Onofrio that he misspoke. Both actors are contracted for three seasons, indicating Marvel's commitment to the series. The company has begun preliminary preparations for a potential third season, which is expected to start shooting in March 2026 and continue through the summer.
Though season 2 is set to release in the near future, early reports suggest that viewing numbers for the series have not met expectations, creating uncertainty about its future. Nevertheless, Marvel's Brad Winderbaum has emphasized that the series was always designed to be long-running, suggesting confidence in its ongoing narrative.
Season 2 will build on the events of the season 1 finale, which saw Matt Murdock assembling a team to confront Mayor Wilson Fisk. Fans can anticipate the return of Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter, to bolster the cast and the action.
The show features a robust ensemble including Margarita Levieva, Deborah Ann Woll, and Jon Bernthal, among others, and is helmed by showrunner Dario Scardapane with a team of experienced directors.
