New Trailer Revealed for Code Vein II

Bandai Namco Entertainment has unveiled a prologue trailer for Code Vein II, the sequel to the acclaimed post-apocalyptic RPG series. This much-anticipated game is set to launch on January 30, with a Japan release on January 29, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Game Overview

Code Vein II dives deep into a captivating narrative centered around blood, fate, and the struggle for survival in a world on the brink of collapse. Players will navigate through the aftermath of an emerging threat, the Luna Rapacis, which has driven Revenants mad, turning them into monstrous beings known as Horrors. As a Revenant Hunter, players are guided by a mysterious girl named Lou, who can travel back in time to alter the course of history.

Gameplay Features

  • Blood Mechanics: Players can extract blood from foes to unlock new skills and abilities.
  • Unique Weapons: The game introduces Blood codes and a special equipment called Jails which enhance gameplay.
  • Partner System: Each Partner character offers unique skills and deep narrative connections, enriching the player’s journey.

The original Code Vein released in September 2019, and its success has paved the way for this highly awaited sequel. Notably, the opening cinematic for the game is animated by the renowned studio ufotable, with the theme song performed by VAMPS.

In addition to the game, a manga adaptation titled CODE VEIN -Memory echoes-, illustrated by Kotoni Shiroishi, debuted in Dengeki PlayStation magazine in June 2018.
