The official X/Twitter account for the anime adaptation of "Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle" has unveiled a new promotional video, generating anticipation ahead of its October release in Japan.
The latest promotional video for the anime adaptation of the light novel "Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle" (Chitose-kun wa Ramune Bin no Naka) has been released on the official YouTube channels of KADOKAWA ANIME and REMOW, which includes English subtitles. Set to premiere in Japan this October, the series will also have a special pre-screening event in September.
Directed by Yuuji Tokuno and produced by the animation studio feel, the series promises to be an engaging addition to the upcoming anime lineup. The script is supervised and co-written by Naruhisa Arakawa alongside Hiromu, the original author of the light novel. Sumie Kinoshita is responsible for character designs, ensuring a visually appealing representation of the story’s characters.
The voice cast features notable talent including Shougo Sakata as Saku Chitose, Manaka Iwami as Yuuko Hiiragi, and Ikumi Hasegawa as Yuzuki Nanase, among others, bringing the characters to life with their performances.
"Chitose Is in the Ramune Bottle" is a romantic comedy and harem light novel that began publication in June 2019 under Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko imprint. The story has also seen a manga adaptation that launched in April 2020 on Square Enix’s Manga Up! platform, illustrated by Bobcat.
The narrative follows Saku Chitose, often scorned online as "the womanizing scum of Class 5," yet held in high esteem by peers and teachers alike. As Saku enters his second year of high school, he reconnects with friends and faces new challenges, including a confrontation with classmate Kenta Yamazaki, who harbors a grudge against him. Saku must navigate these social complexities to maintain his reputation and encourage Kenta to return to school.
