The Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc has secured the top position at the Japanese box office for the fifth consecutive weekend, from October 17-19. During this period, the film sold approximately 375,000 tickets, accumulating a box office revenue of 581,975,100 yen (around $3.81 million). This brings its overall ticket sales to 4.26 million and total earnings to 6,514,023,700 yen (approximately $42.7 million).
Previous Box Office Performance
The film made an impressive debut, taking over from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle - Akaza Sairai, which had held the number one spot for nine weeks. In its opening weekend, Chainsaw Man sold 807,000 tickets and earned 1,251,178,500 yen (about $8.46 million).
Upcoming Releases
Sony Pictures Entertainment has acquired the worldwide theatrical rights for the film, set to premiere in U.S. theaters on October 24, with early screenings for Crunchyroll members on October 22. The film will also launch in the United Kingdom on October 29, following its initial screening in over 80 countries from September 24.

Reina Ueda voices Reze in this adaptation, which showcases the dramatic characters and themes from the original manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto.
Live-Action Films Ranking
Meanwhile, the live-action adaptation of Makoto Shinkai's 5 Centimeters per Second maintained the #2 position, selling 198,000 tickets and earning 283,036,400 yen (about $1.85 million) during the same weekend. The film has sold a total of 710,000 tickets, totaling 1,006,136,700 yen (about $6.59 million) since its release.
Other Films in the Box Office
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle - Akaza Sairai retained its #3 position, continuing its impressive run with total earnings surpassing 241 million dollars.
