Baki-Dou Anime Adaptation by Netflix Set for 2026 Release
Netflix's Baki-Dou anime adaptation premieres in 2026 with a teaser.
Netflix has officially announced the animation adaptation of Keisuke Itagaki's Baki-Dou, sharing a teaser trailer and a premiere date of 2026. Known for its martial arts themes, the original Baki The Grappler manga was serialized from 1991 to 1999, spanning 42 volumes in Weekly Shōnen Champion. The sequel, Baki: Dou, ran for 31 volumes from 1999 to 2005, while Itagaki's subsequent works, including the Hanma Baki series, continued the legacy with further installments.
The Baki-Dou manga debuted in March 2014, concluding in April 2018 with 22 volumes. A new entry in this franchise was launched in October 2018 and wrapped up in June 2023, using different characters but maintaining the Baki-Dou title. As of August 2023, Baki Rahen is the latest addition to the series.
In terms of anime adaptations, the first Netflix series featuring Baki debuted in June 2018. Following this, Baki: Dai Raitaisai-hen and Baki Hanma continued the franchise's presence on the platform, with their latest seasons releasing throughout 2023.
