Opening Theme Revealed for Awajima Anime
Kadokawa has just released a second promotional video along with the main visual and opening theme song details for the upcoming television adaptation of Scenes From Awajima (Awajima Hyakkei) manga by Takako Shimura. The song, titled "Blue Hour", will be performed by Hana Hope. The promotional video previews this catchy theme.
The anime is set to premiere in April on Fuji TV and other networks. Here’s a look at the cast:

Production Team
The series will be directed by Morio Asaka, renowned for his work on Chihayafuru and NANA, at the animation studio Madhouse. The anime aims to capture the intricacies of friendships and rivalries among aspiring performers at the prestigious Awajima Opera School.
Manga Background
The original manga, published in July 2011 on Ohta Publishing's PocoPoco website, has been a notable work in the industry. Although it went on hiatus several times, it resumed its serialization in November 2023 and concluded in March 2024. In July, Yen Press licensed the manga, and the first volume was released on January 20.
With its unique story of aspiration and competition, Awajima promises to be a delightful watch for anime enthusiasts.
