Marvel unveils Avengers: Doomsday teaser featuring X-Men debut.
Marvel Releases Third Teaser for Avengers: Doomsday
Marvel Studios has officially unveiled the third teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, prominently showcasing the long-awaited debut of the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The teaser highlights key characters such as Professor X (Patrick Stewart), Magneto (Ian McKellen), and Cyclops (James Marsden), setting a grim tone for the mutant team. Iconic locations like the X-Mansion appear in ruins, with Scott Summers depicted as the last defender against towering Sentinels.
"Death comes for us all, that’s all I know for sure," Magneto is heard saying. "The question isn’t are you prepared to die, the question is who would you be when you close your eyes?"
In addition to the new teaser, an earlier, leaked version featured appearances from Black Panther, King M'Baku, Namor, and The Thing. Though there were talks of additional sneak peeks, it appears only four trailers will be shown in theaters, with a final teaser expected next week.
Fans don’t need to wait long for more updates on Avengers: Doomsday. Marvel is anticipated to reveal a traditional trailer featuring Doctor Doom during the upcoming Super Bowl next month.
As for the X-Men, whether you loved or disliked the 20th Century Fox's mutant franchise, it seems the transition to the MCU has been successful, setting up what may be their final appearance before the post-Avengers: Secret Wars reboot.
The anticipated release date for Avengers: Doomsday is December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars set for December 17, 2027.
