DC's Absolute Evil #1: A Villainous Justice League Unleashed

DC Comics has unveiled Absolute Evil #1, marking the first anniversary of the Absolute Universe. This new comic characteristics a redefined Justice League, featuring a shocking death and the debut of a key character.
SPOILERS AHEAD
In a world overshadowed by Darkseid’s influence, the Absolute Justice League comprises notorious villains rather than heroes. Notable figures like Ra’s al Ghul, The Joker, Veronica Cale, Hector Hammond, and Elenore Thawne form an alliance to tackle the increasing threat of superheroes.
Flashbacks reveal that past challenges from heroes like The Sandman and Wildcat were minimal, but the likes of Superman and Batman present a greater obstacle. To reassert control in this warped universe, the villains make a controversial decision by eliminating their adversary, Green Arrow. Hawkman, serving as an enforcer for the corrupt regime, brutally executes Oliver Queen, delivering his remains to the Justice League.
Observing from the shadows, Brainiac, aided by Mirror Master, identifies a need to balance The Joker’s chaotic influence. He proposes bringing Lex Luthor into the fold, whose alternate version in the Absolute Universe is depicted as a family-oriented farmer.
This surprising turn sets the stage for an exhilarating continuation of stories within the Absolute line. The future of Lex Luthor remains uncertain—will he embody the same malevolence as his regular DC Universe counterpart? Only time will tell.
