50 Cent Goes All-In As Balrog for Street Fighter Movie
50 Cent trains as Balrog for new Street Fighter movie release.
Rapper 50 Cent is gearing up for his role as Balrog in the upcoming Street Fighter movie, showcasing his training in a recent video. He is embracing the iconic multi-widow's peak hairstyle that defines the character from Street Fighter II.
Although 50 Cent hasn't thrown any hadoukens or sonic booms, fans of the classic game will recognize Balrog for his charge-based punches and effective special moves.
On social media, 50 Cent shared glimpses of his training, expressing his dedication and discipline. He tweeted: "Work hard when they hardly working, and they will be surprised at the outcome. Street Fighter coming soon" along with a link to his video.
The cast for the movie features:
- Noah Centineo as Ken
- Andrew Koji as Ryu
- Cody Rhodes as Guile
- WWE's Roman Reigns as Akuma
- Jason Momoa as Blanka
- Callina Liang as Chun-Li
- Andrew Schulz as Dan

Filming is currently underway in Australia, with Legendary Entertainment and Capcom collaborating to bring this beloved franchise back to the big screen. Director Kitao Sakurai, known for his work on the comedy Bad Trip, is helming the project, while the script is penned by Dalan Musson, who previously worked on Captain America: Brave New World.
Street Fighter is a franchise recognized for its impact on the gaming world, often compared to Mortal Kombat. However, its film adaptations have had mixed results in the past, notably losing favor with audiences despite a cult following for the 1994 film.
The synopsis for the new film teases a thrilling plot:
Set in 1993, estranged Street Fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) are thrown back into combat when the mysterious Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the next World Warrior Tournament: a brutal clash of fists, fate, and fury. But behind this battle royale lies a deadly conspiracy that forces them to face off against each other and the demons of their past. And if they don’t, it’s GAME OVER.
Mark your calendars as Street Fighter is slated to hit theaters on October 16, 2026.
